Welcome to the official website for Cub Scout Pack 230 in Penfield, NY USA!

Scouting makes a direct and positive impact on your community by teaching positive values and leadership skills to your chld.  With over 50 scouts, we are a very active and fun-filled Pack.  Pack 230 offers a wide range of activities and learning experiences for your child that focus on their continued growth as they progress through the program.  We strive to incorporate education, character building, growth, teamwork, and primarily FUN for our scouts.  We are a "Family Friendly" Pack that encourages the whole family to attend our Pack meetings, special events, and "family camping" trips so that everyone can experience the fun, together.

Pack 230 consists of Kindergarten through 5th grade children primarily from Cobbles Elementary School in Penfield.  Due to our strength as a pack and our family centered focus, we also draw from other elementary schools in the area as well.

We welcome you to learn more about Pack 230 to see if we have something to offer you.  For more information, please use the "Contact Us" link on the left menu, or call the Seneca Waterways Council for more information. We'd love to see you at our next event.

Fundraising Info and Dues Payments

Posted on Aug 23 2019 - 11:35am
Hi Pack!
We had a great kickoff this week! For those who were unable to attend, the fundraising packets I put together will be hanging on my mailbox on any day there is no rain expected. The packets include extra order forms, Pack prize info, FAQs, sales receipts, and a bank deposit slip for when you are finished selling. You should take one per scout. My address is 27 Sawmill Drive if anyone wants to pick up a fundraising packet (or two if you have two scouts). It's off Five Mile just north of the high school.

Hi Pack!

We have a light May, but a very busy June. Here's what's coming up, and what you need to know!

Fundraiser Items

Posted on Mar 30 2019 - 5:05pm

Hi Pack! I'm going to start making flyers for our fundraiser rummage/bake sale. Please contact me to let me know what items or baked goods you plan on contributing (if you know) so that I can add enticements to our advertisements. I'd also like to make sure this will be worth all the effort, which it isn't if we only have a few items. Later in April (once sports schedules are released) we'll start figuring out work shifts, etc. Thanks everyone!!

Updates and Upcoming Events

Hi Pack!

You've probably noticed a flurry of events popping up on our calendar this week. We're working to schedule our spring activities. In the past, Pack activity has dropped off in May/June due to baseball and lacrosse seasons starting, and in the summer due to camps and vacations. We'd like to change that this year, and hope to put lots of fun, optional activities on the calendar for those who wish to attend. Game nights, local tours, park meetups, etc. So keep an eye out for those!

On February 24th from 9:15am-11am, we have an event called Scout Sunday. This event is held during and after the Sunday service at the First Baptist Church. Please note that there is no pressure or expectation of participation in the religious portion of the service. We respect all scout family beliefs. This event is our way of saying thank you to the church for providing us with support and facilities as our charter. The scouts will act as greeters and ushers, recite their oath and law, help tol pass the collection plate, and I will give the congregation updates on our Pack. Afterward, we will mingle with the congregation in the main room with drinks and goodies provided by the Pack (again, because this is our thank you to the charter). Similar to the Derby, I have created a signup for items to bring. Signing up with this link will serve as your RSVP:
